Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season!

I took Karen & Evan to a few of my favorite spots around town for their actual engagement session this past Saturday morning. We had so much fun, at times I forgot I was on a photo shoot! I couldn’t choose just a few of my favorites, so here’s a whole bunch that I think describe these two perfectly. Enjoy!!

My website is now viewable on your mobile device! It’s about time. Check it out at www.ashleyvirginiaphotography.com

It’s that time of year again! I photographed Amy, Rich and Sadie this past Sunday for their holiday cards. Little Sadie gets cuter every time I see her! Here are a few I couldn’t help but share!

It’s official! Jen & Chris said their “I do’s” this past Friday, 11/11/11! It was a special day not only for them, but for their closest family and friends who joined them at Mezza Notte for a small intimate ceremony, followed by one hell of a party! There was a slideshow of cherished pictures, vows that had even me tearing up behind my camera, a high-five right before their first kiss, homemade wine at every table, karaoke, lots of dancing and literally some of the most delicious food I have ever tasted. I feel so lucky that I was able to be a part of Chris and Jen’s wedding. I had the privilege of photographing their day from beginning to end, as well as actually calling myself a guest, a rare occasion!! What a blast, it was obvious everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves… I think these few photographs speak for themselves! Congratulations to two of the most genuine people I’ll have the pleasure of knowing, and I’m happy to call them my dear friends. Here’s to you guys, you did it!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My brother is newly engaged as of last month and I can’t seem to contain my excitement! Evan told me that he was going to propose to Karen several months ago, and holding in a secret like that is no easy task when you want to run around telling and hugging everyone. I kept the top secret information to myself though, and a few months later Karen was completely surprised when he popped the question! I took them out on Sunday evening for a mini engagement session and by the time we got to our location, the sun was already over the mountain. I blame daylight savings. We were able to capture a few images before the sun had completely set, anyways! Keep an eye out for Part 2 of their session coming up this weekend, but for now here are a few of my favorites!

Olivia is turning 1 year old this month! What better way to start the celebration than to capture some images to display on her special day! Despite the chilly morning, Olivia was full of smiles and had a blast watching Mom and Dad behind me as they got her to giggle and laugh for the camera. Here’s a tiny sneak peek of our photo session in the park yesterday. Happy Birthday, Olivia!

It’s a great day when I get to take my camera out, and it’s even better when I get to photograph my very own friends!! Jen & Chris will be getting married in a few weeks so we did a little pre-wedding engagement shoot before their big day. I can hardly call this session a ‘job’, because it was loads of fun! Picking apples, climbing trees, exploring the back country roads and playing on train tracks, these two were up for anything. I think we got the job done and captured some great images for them. I cannot wait for their wedding in November, keep an eye out for another sneak peek! Thanks Jen & Chris (mainly Chris!) for putting up with my antics. I think it was worth it!

I photographed Ryan just over a year ago, and I thought he was full of energy back then! Our photo session took about an hour, and I don’t think he stopped moving once. Jumping from tire swings to slides to piles of leaves, I got my morning exercise just following him around with my camera! A few of my favorites from our session in the park this past weekend. Hope you enjoy!

I knew it was going to be a great wedding when the bridesmaids showed up to the church in a party bus! After a beautiful ceremony, Audrey & Evan celebrated with their closest family and friends at a banquet house in Brunswick, NY. The view was absolutely breathtaking and definitely set the tone of the party for an amazing night! Here are a few images to sum up the day. Best of luck to Audrey & Evan as they start their lives together as husband and wife!
